The heart of this machine relies on the famous OMX carbon, the lightest and most sophisticated carbon fibre grade developed by Orbea. Thanks to a high-pressure moulding process that eliminates excess unnecessary resin, the frame achieves a featherweight of just 1700 g (including the rear shock).
To transfer every single watt to the rear wheel, the Powerspine structure locks down lateral flex at the bottom of the frame during full-power sprints. This chassis also integrates the Flex Stay concept (a rear triangle without a physical pivot) coupled with a regressive kinematics: the suspension remains firm under pedalling loads to prevent any energy loss (high anti-squat), while becoming ultra-sensitive over micro-impacts and reassuring during big hits.
Aesthetic and mechanical integration is pushed to its absolute peak. The patented I-line technology houses the Fox rear shock remote cable in a completely straight, direct line inside the top tube, eliminating friction and exposure to trail debris. The clean cockpit relies on the OC MP10 integrated carbon handlebar combined with the SIC system, which routes hoses directly through the headset.
In terms of safety and practicality, the bike features the Spin Block steering limiter (which prevents the handlebars from striking the frame in a crash), a mini chain guide, space for two water bottles, a direct Post Mount rear brake setup, a reliable threaded BSA bottom bracket, and the discreet OC Multitool MT01 (8 in 1) housed neatly under the top tube.
