Here is the Hope Tech 4 Evo V6Ti: an evolution of one of HOPE's most iconic and emblematic brakes. Redesigned to meet today's demands, this brake offers exceptional braking power, advanced thermal management with HOPE's characteristic design, setting a new benchmark for riders who demand the best in braking, whether they ride downhill, enduro, or e-bikes.
At the heart of the system is a CNC-machined monobloc caliper, designed to offer an optimal stiffness-to-weight ratio while maximizing contact surface area to ensure better heat dissipation. Titanium pistons guarantee exceptional performance when it matters most. Each piston is finished with a titanium nitride coating to reduce friction and improve durability.
The radial mount design eliminates the constraints associated with Post-Mount installation, allowing for a longer caliper body, larger pistons, and bigger pads. This results in consistent and reassuring braking, even under extreme and prolonged conditions.
The Tech 4 Evo V6Ti is paired with the new T-groove ventilated disc, specifically designed to facilitate thermal management. The cooling fins located between the two braking surfaces significantly reduce disc temperature, while the floating T-groove design allows the brake track to float fully, preventing any warping under heat. For added practicality, the brake track is replaceable, avoiding the need to change the entire rotor when worn.
The system is completed by the Tech 4 Evo master cylinder, the newest and most advanced model to date. Riders can choose between "STANDARD" or "POWER" levers depending on their preferred feel (the "CONTROL" lever is not recommended with the V6Ti caliper). The Tech 4 Evo V6Ti is a true concentration of technology and a benchmark for braking performance.
Caliper Features
CNC-machined monobloc caliper
Optimal stiffness-to-weight ratio
Large contact surface area for better heat management
Titanium pistons for consistent performance in the most extreme conditions
Titanium nitride piston coating for low friction and improved wear resistance
Cross-bored pistons to facilitate cooling
Radial mounting to eliminate dimensional constraints associated with the Post-Mount standard: - More space = more piston surface area = more power - Larger pads = more consistency
New bleed system: no need to remove the reservoir cap anymore, bleeding is done via a dedicated bleed screw
3 lever options available: Standard (installed as standard), Power, Control (sold separately)
The Standard version of the lever is the one installed by default
New cam mechanism reducing throw while maintaining progressivity
Firmer bite point
Lever pivot axis mounted on bearings
Lever ratio increased by 6% compared to the Tech 4
Hinged handlebar clamp facilitating installation
Compatible with direct mounting of Sram Matchmaker, Sram POD, and Shimano ISPEC EV shifters (adapters sold separately)
Lever reach and pad contact adjustments via 2 external dials (tool-free)
Possibility to change the color of the reservoir cap and external adjustment dials among the many colors available from Hope (Black, Red, Blue, Orange, Silver, Smoke... )
