Long distance gravel bike : You know when you’re going to start pedalling but you don’t know when you’re going to stop. With its 350Wh internal battery you can travel up to 180km depending on the level of assistance you dial in and the altitude gain you rack-up. Gravel riding on more technical terrain : Mondraker have designed the seatstays to offer unparalleled damping, providing significant comfort and control over technical terrain. And if that isn’t enough for you our top-of-the-line DUSTY XR comes fitted with a 40mm RockShox Rudy fork, and a 75mm Reverb XPLR AXS dropper post so you can take your DUSTY where logic tells you that you really shouldn’t.
The DUSTY has 3 levels of assistance, each fully configurable by the user through the MySmartBike application. Mondraker have collaborated with Mahle on the development of specific firmware to define the assistance characteristics of the motor for use on gravel bikes. As a starting point the objective Mondraker set themselves was to simulate the effort made by the rider at all times, without the assistance of the motor exceeding the sensation of a natural pedalling feel. This is the concept that we call “WATTS ON DEMAND”.

Each level has 3 features which are fully configurable by the user:
As such level 1 has a continuous power contribution of 25%, level 2 reaches 50% and level 3 goes up to 200% (varying between 75 and 200% depending on the torque input by the rider). Unlike other systems, the Mahle X20's assistance is based on the torque (application of force) produced by the rider, rather than cadence. The assistance offered by the system is always proportional to the effort exerted by the rider, as if it were a power amplifier. The sensor that controls the power (torque) applied by the rider is located in the bottom bracket.
You set the limits
55 Nm of torque and compatible with the EU (25 Km/h) and US (20 Km/h) markets, the X20 drive unit is designed and assembled in Europe to reach a maximum performance level, completely eliminating the drag when maximum assisted speed is exceeded, not penalizing the rider. New 350 Wh internal batteries which can be complemented with a 172 Wh Range Extender, delivering up to 200 Km Autonomy. Intelligent fast charging system up to 4A charging the battery up to 80% of its full capacity in less than 2 hours.
